Yesterday I spent the day at the Stamp Attic doing a workshop with the fabulous Hels Sheridan. It was a really great day and was like a Tim Holtz fest!! We used lots of Tim goodies and got very inky!!
Here is my finished creation:
I used colours that took me out of my comfort zone - and I am really pleased with the results!!
Hope you like it...

Happy Birthday Sophie!!
June certainly is the month for birthdays!!
Today marks my dear friend, Sophie's, birthday.
Here is the card that I created for her:
The card was die cut using a new Stampin' Up Sizzix die (love this die.
The front was embossed using a vine folder.
Flowers and leaves were stamped and die cut. They were then shaped and attached to the card.
The centres of the flowers are gorgeous little dahlias.
I also decorated the inside.
I hope Sophie likes it!... Thanks for looking...

Happy Father's Day
Today we celebrate Father's Day in the U.K.
Here is the card that I made for my daddy:
I started by stamping the background ruler from a Tim Holtz set onto a card blank using walnut stain distress ink.
I made a panel to go to the left by brayering over glossy card. This was then attached.
I stamped the Time Traveller twice and coloured him in using distress markers.
These were cut out. One was attached to the card. The other I lined up using a file strip die cut. I then cut it out to show the face and watch.
'Dad' was stamped onto a label and inked using walnut stain. Two tickets were also stamped and cut.
I embellished using keys, a corner and a pointing finger.
To finish, I added glossy accents to the watch and film strip picture.
Alot of love went into this card to say thank you for my dad being there for me over all of these years.

Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Why the title? Well, it's not only my brother's birthday today, but my dear friend Hels Sheridan. I wish them both a very special day.
I made my June Tim Holtz tag for Hels - it has a lovely quote about friendship inside....
"A friend accepts us as we are
yet helps us to be what we should"
This quote is so true.....
You can see the card that I gave to Hels here.
As for my brother... I scratched my head for a little while then came up with this
I started by inking a card blank using my faves shabby shutters and broken china distress ink.
Next, I stencilled over the background using broken china, and edged around the card in walnut stain.
The paper and tab are from Kaisercraft.
The Stampotique image was stamped in Archival ink then coloured before being mounted onto the rectangle.
I hope he likes it.....

Tim Holtz 12 Tags Of 2013: June
I can't believe that May has come and gone already!!
I loved the simplicity of Tim's tag for June. As usual I turned my creation into a card:
You can see the techniques that Tim uses in his June tag Here.
