Last year I think I managed to make half of the 12 tags of 2013.
This year I am aiming for all 12...fingers crossed.
I have decided, again, to create cards so that I can use them throughout the year.
Here is my version of Tim's January tag
For details of the technique head on over to Tim's blog.
I had great fun making this card...I love embossing metal!

A Tim Holtz Fest...Part 2
I had bags of fun making the first batch of cards that I couldn't stop making more!! Here are the second batch that I made:
It's amazing how the simple things can re-energise you. Before these cards I just sat there stroking my beautiful products wishing my mojo would return. Once I had decided to use only a few products everything came flooding back!!
Let's hope it stays...for a while at least!

Rebel Stampers ATC Swap
I am way behind with sharing some of my creations....
Here are my swaps for the Rebel Stampers November challenge.
The first is based on the Craft Stamper Moustache stamp
I coloured an atc using the wrinkle free distress method and distress paints.
I then stamped the Traveller in Archival and coloured him using distress markers.
I randomly stamped the glasses stamp on the background.
I stamped the moustache onto scrap card and then cut around it and mounted it onto the card
The second challenge for the month was to create an atc size Christmas card
Here, I covered an atc in background paper.
The snowman was stamped in Soft Sky ink and mini snowflakes were stamped around him
The sentiment banner was stamped along the background and a gem added for his nose.
The Craftstamper challenge for December was the pine leaf
I covered an atc in chevron paper.
I die cut holly and glued this to the background.
The main image was stamped using the fabulous Wendy Vecchi archival inks and the cut and mounted onto the ac.
To finish I added a few gems.
The final atc of the year was based on 'Angels'
Here I created a wrinkle free distress method using distress paint.
I then added a crackle background to the corners.
The angel and sentiment were stamped in Archival ink
Hope you like my atcs..... I am hoping to join in alot more challenges this year!!

Happy Birthday....To A Very Special Person
Today is a very special day.... it is my Mum's birthday..... she is, of course, 21 again! She was spoilt a couple of weeks ago when she was given an I-Pad as an early birthday present.
Here is the card that I made for mum:
I based the card on some gorgeous Prima papers (that I forgot that I had).
I stamped the Paper Artsy image onto a doily then coloured this and the dress on the Prima papers using watercolour pencils.
I stamped the borders in Brown Archival ink.
The image was stamped onto a label then layered onto the card.
To finish I added pearl swirls and buttons.
I am sure my mum will love her card.
Thanks for looking.

Happy New Year.....
Sorry it's been so long!! I had every intention to write lots of posts over Christmas and just didn't get the time. I hope everyone had a fabulous festive time.
I thought I would kick the new year off with showing a card that I made for a little girl's birthday.
Kaylin turned 3 on boxing day and got her first ballet award just before Christmas (so sweet!!)
The card I used was pre-printed. I added a doily and banner.
The ballet dancer is one of my favourite dies. I wanted to keep it simple and so tied some bakers twine around the waste.
To finish I stamped a sentiment from the Tim Holtz 'Simple Sayings' stamp set.
A simple way to start the New Year!!
