Today I am showing you a card that I have made for a friend's birthday. I normally steer away from purple - but I love the way this turned out.
I embossed amethyst card and covered the base of a tall card.
I stamped and cut out the beautiful Lotus Flower stamp from Stampin' Up and added it to a scalloped rectangle. I wanted to keep the flowers as the focal point as they are so beautiful and so I just added a few lilac coloured gems and wisteria wonder seam binding.
I am really pleased at how this turned out and hope you like it too!

Not Just For Christmas
Today I am showing you a card made for my sister-in-law's birthday (I hope you are not peeking Rachel!).
I used purple again (I know!!)
I stamped a lace background onto amethyst card and added a wine coloured doily to the top section.
I stamped the Fairy onto white card and coloured it. The fairy is from Liz Borer, designed for Paper Artsy. It was on a Christmasy type set - but I thought it could be used a lot more. I love the way that this has come out and think that I have achieved it not looking like a Christmas stamp.
Once added to the card I added lace and a greeting. And created a little bow with seam binding, adding a pearl to the centre.
I'm really pleased how this has turned out!!

Pretty In Pink
I thought I would share a card that I made for a friend's daughter for her birthday. She loves Pink - as most little girls do!!
For the base I used Kraft card.
I embossed pink card and attached this to the base. I also die cut a label in the same colour.
Next I stamped and coloured the little girl - this is such a pretty image. I added some fine glitter to the frosting on the cupcake to give it some bling
I stamped a greeting onto a punched label and made a pink bow using the Stampin' Up bow punch.
I don't think you can get much pinker than this!!
I am sure she will love it.
Thanks for looking....

Happy New Year
Sorry it's been too long. 2014 was not a great year for me - and I sort of hid away in a creative sense. My New Year's resolution was to get back to 'normal' this year..... and I certainly have done!
I thought I would start by showing a card made with one of my favourite stamps from Stampotique called Moustache Monsters, which I purchased from The Stamp Attic last year. For any Stampotique fans out there, Wendy has a huge range of Stampotique stamps and can order any that you want!
This was a fairly simple make to get my creative juices flowing again! I covered a card blank with some yummy Stamping' Up papers. A label and scallop border was cut in the same paper.
The image was stamped and coloured then attached to the label on the card.
I made a small bow using the Stamping' Up bow punch (this is fabulous.... you really do need one!).
To finish I added ribbon and a button in co-ordination colours.
I just love this stamp.... it makes me smile every time I see it and I hope it makes you smile too!
