Today is the launch of the final Country View Crafts Challenge for 2018. Unsurprisingly, the theme is Christmas.
Here is my first project to show you this month.
I wanted to keep my card fairly simple but soft and elegant and so decided to use
vellum as a base.
I started by stamping the gorgeous poinsettias from PaperArtsy Kay Carley
EKC21 using Versamark ink and then covered with
silver embossing powder and heat set the powder using my heat gun.
I then used a Versamark pen to draw a line around the edges which I then sprinkled with powder and heat set to create the border. This was then set aside.
Next, I stamped the poinsettias onto white card, coloured them using Polychromo pencils and cut them out.
To give my flowers shape, I used an embossing ball tool and rubbed over the front and back until I was happy. These were then layered together and stamens added to the middle. The poinsettias were added to the bottom corner of my card.
To finish, I added a Tim Holtz ideology
Word Band which formed the sentiment on my card.
Thank you for joining me today. Don't forget to pop over to the Country View Crafts Challenge
blog where you can see all of the amazing inspiration from the design team. There is still time to create Christmas cards and so I hope that you join in and show us your Christmas designs.
See you in a couple of weeks when I show you my second project for the Challenge.
Happy Crafting!
