Today marks the start of a new challenge over at Country View Crafts Challenges. The theme for -April is 'Pimp it Up' and also refers to up-cycling and altering.
Here is my first project for the challenge
This project started life as a mini frame that I have had in my stash forever.
So I thought I would show it some love and 'pimp it up'.
I started by painting the back card using Ice Blue Fresco Chalk Paint. The frame itself was painted using Venetian Blue. All of the paints used are from the latest Seth Apter PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Paints.
I used the 'Textures' set of stamps by Lisa Horton for Creative Expressions to add texture using Spanish Mulberry.
The flowers are from the fabulous new Tracy Scott stamps that can be found here and here. They were stamped, coloured and fussy cut around.
These were then mounted to the frame, and a Tim Holtz rub-on used to complete the project.
So that's one item that I have been keeping to use at 'some point' - now for everything else that I have got!
Thanks for joining me today. Do pop over and see the other projects created by my talented DT members, and I hope that you join in with this month's challenge - there is a voucher to spend in the shop up for grabs.
Lovely transformation, Miriam! Happy Easter, xx.
