Anything Goes pt. 2 - Country View Crafts Challenges

Hi again.....  Today I am sharing my second project for January over at Country View Challenges.  The theme this month is 'anything goes' which is quite refreshing after seasonal crafting.

Here is my second project.....

I started by brayering Mermaid, Slate and a smidge of Baltic Blue Fresco Finish Chalk Paints onto a card stock panel.

Next, I randomly stamped background images from Visible Images 'Somewhere in Time' stamp set using Archival Ink.

I die cut the Weathered Clock and sponged it using Baltic Blue Fresco Finish Chalk paint.  I then added smidges of Classic Treasure Gold around the edges.

The Steampunk Man from Visible Images 'Ahead of our Time' stamp set was stamped in the corner of the panel using Jet Black Archival ink.  This ink was by far the best ink to use for such a large and solid image.  The weathered clock was then added over the image.

The word 'Time' and coordinating quote was stamped in the left corner.

To finish, I distressed the edges of the card stock and added Classic Treasure Gold.  This was then added to a blank panel and mounted to a card blank.

I think I am starting to shake off the 'seasonal' craft and enjoy other projects!

I hope that I have inspired you to join in with this months project.  Pop over to the blog to see mine and other inspiration for the month.

Thanks for joining me.

ATC Challenge Over At PaperArtsy

Tonight I am contributing on the PaperArtsy blog.  The challenges are back for 2018 and the first is ATC's.

ATC's are 'Artist Trading Cards' and so are designed to be 'traded' with others, but as you will see in my PaperArtsy post, they are also a useful way of getting yourself out of a rut or keeping for inspiration purposes.

Pop over to the PaperArtsy blog to see the details of the ATC's that I created - you might even see a few sneak peeks while you are there!!

I hope that I have inspired you to join in with this fortnight's challenge - don't forget that if you join in and submit an entry you will be included in the random draw to win one of the fabulous PaperArtsy aprons.

Thanks for joining me.......

Anything Goes - Country View Crafts Challenges

A very Happy New Year to you all.

What better way to start a New Year than with a new challenge over at Country View Crafts.

After so much Christmas crafting I wanted to create something totally unrelated.  Here is my project for the month

I wanted to use some of my 'go to' products.

I started by cutting a panel of card stock and distress the edges.  Next, I stamped the female from
Sara Naumann PaperArtsy stamp set.  I stamped this in Memento ink and then coloured the image using alcohol markers.

The next stage of my project was to colour a card blank using Distress Oxides in Blue China, Walnut Stain and Fossilized Amber.  I flicked water over the ink to activate it and then edged the card using walnut stain.

I randomly stamped text into the background using walnut stain ink.  I then added the image to a gold panel and topped it to the card blank.

To finish I stamped a border and sentiment from Emma Godfrey PaperArtsy mini stamp set.

I really enjoyed creating this project, especially after me having to spend months with seasonal crafting.

Make sure you pop over to the blog to see the inspiration from the other design team members.  Thanks for joining me today.

Happy Crafting!
