Happy Mothers Day

A very Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there.

I thought I would share the cards that I made for both my mum and mother-in law.

Here, I created a very simple Gel Press background.  I then randomly stamped a small flower image and coloured this in.

The butterfly was stamped, coloured using Polychromo pencils and cut out.  Unlike Kay Carley, I have zero patience and so cut the swirls off.  I did, however, stamp the butterfly onto the background and then glued the coloured image on top.

For this card I used the amazing JOFY flower and background stamps and stencils from All and Create.

I added lots of sparkle to my images using a Sakura pen.  I totally blame Lisa Horton for my addiction to these pens!

So, there we have it.  The two mother's day cards that I created this year.

I hope you all have a fabulous Mother's Day.

Thanks for joining me.

Time is Golden

Good evening,

I have a project over at the PaperArtsy blog this evening.

The theme for this fortnight is 'Tick Tock' and I have altered a MDF pocket watch from That Craft Place.

I had so much fun creating this, using some of my favourite stamps.

Pop over to the PaperArtsy blog to see how I created this.

Thanks for joining me this evening.

Feel free to leave me a comment.  I love to read them all.

Playtime With New PaperArtsy Stash

Hi again, a quick post from me today.

I thought I would share some of the projects that I have recently made using some of the latest PaperArtsy stamps.

I took the opportunity to use up some of the papers that are in my stash box - papers that I have either made, like these gel print backgrounds, or printed designs from magazines, such as the Stampington magazines.

The main images on the cards have all been coloured using Polychromo pencils.  I so, so love these pencils.

I even broke out the Sakura markers and gave the butterflies and flowers a bit of bling (yes, I know, I wanted bling!).

I so love all of these new releases.

As you can see, I have been having some great fun.  I love sitting in front of the TV colouring images.  I can get 'lost' in the peacefulness that it creates.

Thank you for joining me today.  I hope that you like my cards.  And if you haven't seen the new stamps yet, pop over to Country View Crafts for a nose and maybe even a shop.... just no blaming me! lol!

Happy crafting!

Playtime with Creative Expressions

I was really pleased to be asked by Lisa and Danny to design some projects for Lisa's Creative Expressions show on Hochanda last weekend.  Then.... a box arrived, and I squealed.... it was full of MDF and stencils.  That is certainly what I call happy post!

If you haven't seen Lisa's new products, pop over to That Craft Place for a snoop (and maybe a little shop!).

So, in no particular order, here are my projects.... I hope you are sat with a cuppa!!

I love the texture that I created on these coins.  So much so, I left a couple blank without any other decoration.

I adore these ATC coin holders.  So simple but a perfect way to store your coins.

These square holders are amazing.  Here I used one of my favourite colour schemes.  They almost look like tiles.

I even made sure that I decorated the inside of the holder.

Here, I have used the circular stencils to decorate the box.  This is such a great sized box.

More texture on ATCs.  I loved the texture here.  I almost didn't want to do anything else.

The remainder of my projects essentially saw me having fun with Artist Trading Coins.  These are just so much fun!

So, there you go!! I hope you haven't fallen to sleep due to all of the pics!

Do leave a comment and let me know what you thought.  You might still be able to see some of the shows on Catch up on Hochanda.

Thanks for joining me.

Happy crafting!!

Country View Crafts Challenges - Numbers and/or Letters

Hello again.  I hope you are enjoying the wonderful projects so far this month - and we are only half way through.

Here is my second project for the Challenge

I started off by using scraps of card to die cut random letters from the Tim Holtz WordPlay die.

I've had this die since it was released.  I never bore of it!

I randomly glued these the letters to a card mat and then cut the bits that were hanging off the edge.

I then painted all over the mat using Fresco Acrylic paints - this is one of the Tracy Scott release paints.

To create a more vintage feel I added 'A Little Bit Jaded' PaperArtsy infusions.  I simply love this background.  I almost wanted to leave it like this - lol!

I created a circle of Pea Coat paint and then used my stamp platform to stamp the large PaperArtsy Tracy Scott flower.

Leaving the stamped image on the platform, I then set about painting the flower, stamping the flower using the platform again to re-stamp the lines.

This is one of my favourite things to do - it means that I can use opaque paints to colour detailed images.

Once dry, I cut the flower out.

To finish, I layered the card up, using doilies and a Tim Holtz quote.

I loved the finished card.  I already have a recipient in mind too.

Thank you for joining me today.  I hope that I have inspired you to join in with the Challenge for this month - I love seeing your creations.

Do leave me a comment  to let me know that you have stopped by - they always cheer me up to know that you have taken the time to read my posts.

Happy crafting!

Friendship and Flowers

Evening,

I have 2 projects over on the PaperArtsy blog this evening.

Pop over there to see how I created this card along with a trio of atcs.

The theme for this fortnight is brayers.  I just adore the new PaperArtsty brayer.  It is the perfect size to create with.

I hope you join in with this challenge.  You can link your projects over on the PaperArtsy blog.

Thanks for joining me......

Country View Crafts Challenges - Letters and/or Numbers

Hello again, Happy St. David's Day to you all.  I cannot believe that it is March - please tell me where the month is going!

Today is teh launch of a new challenge at Country View Crafts - the topic is Letters and/or numbers.  I had so many ideas this month!

Here is my first project

I created a wrinkle free distress background using Distress Oxide inks.  I ensured that this was dried thoroughly before I started the next stage.

I used PaperArtsy Hotpicks 1604 for this project.  I stamped the large numbers in Shadow Grey Archival.  The small numbers were stamped using Jet Black Archival.

I created a background using PaperArtsy Infusions.  I don't think I will ever tire of these.  I adore them.  Again, I dried this thoroughly before moving on to stamp the large JOFY flower.

I heat set the ink and then had fun playing with my white gel pen.  I also added a scribbled border to the main mat background.

To finish I mounted the card using black card and added some dimension to the flower.

I had so much fin creating this.

I hope that you will join in with the Challenge this month.  Don't forget, if you enter the challenge over on the Country View Crafts Challenge blog you will be in with a chance of winning a voucher to use online.

Thanks for joining me today.  I always love reading your comments so hope that you will let me know that you have popped by.

Have a great weekend.
