Country View Crafts Challenges - Cats and Dogs

Welcome back. Today I am sharing my second project for the Cats and Dogs challenge, again I have used a cute kitty stamp.

Here are the products that I used to create this card:

Aall and Create Janet Klein stamp set

Tim Holtz Doodle Stencil

Tim Holtz Distress Sprays

Sizzix Hexagon from the free set included with the Sizzix Switch

Tim Holtz Texture Paste

This was such a fun card to make.  If nothing else, I only used snippets of the backgrounds that I created which means I have more left to make other projects.

Pop over to the blog to see the amazing inspiration from the rest of the team.  And while you are there, why not join in with the Cats and Dogs challenge.  You never know, you may be a lucky winner.

Thanks for joining me.

Country View Crafts Challenges - Cats and Dogs

Welcome to May.  I can't believe we are almost half way through the year!

The theme for the Country View Crafts challenge this month is 'Cats and Dogs'.  For those of you who know me you will know that I adore pussy cats.  A few weeks ago we adopted a new pussycat after losing ours last year.  Needless to say we are run off our feet learning the character of the new little one, her name is Mia.

Mia

Anyway, back to the challenge.  Here is my first project for the challenge:

To create this card I used the following products:

Aall and Create Bipasha BK Hocus Pocus stamp

Tim Holtz 3D Texture Fade

Tim Holtz Deckle Edged Trimmer

White Posca pen

PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylic paint

A very simple card but bags of character in that wonderful image from Bipasha BK.

Do pop over to the challenge blog where you can see the inspiration from the rest of the team.  And I hope you are inspired to join in with the challenge.  Such a fun theme.  And don't forget, by entering a project into the challenge, your name will be put into the hat for one lucky winner to win a gift voucher to spend in the online shop.

Thanks for joining me.

A Very Rare Play Day

I thought I would pop by and share a few makes that were created a little while back, all of which were inspired by Tracy Evans and other crafters (apologies, I wrote names down at the time and have since lost the post-it note).

All of my makes are using Tracy Evans designed stamps for Aall & Create.

Here are my makes:

There is something special about losing yourself in a crating session.  And for me, this has happened less and less over the last couple of years.

My first three cards are all very similar, using the same master board background that was cut down.

Tracy's images are so beautiful that they made a great focal point.  I adore these images.

This card is far more colourful and made for my dear friend, Lucy, for her birthday.  Lucy loves bright colours and, I'm pleased to say, she loved her card.

All of my products were purchased from Country View Crafts.  The Aall & Create stamps can be found here.

So, there we have it.  When I do get chance to 'play' it does me the world of good and I can completely relax and unwind.  And I can certainly say that I truly love creating with Tracy's stamps.

Country View Crafts Challenges - Mother's Day

Hello again,

I hope you all enjoyed the launch of this month's Mother's Day challenge.  Here is my second project (and it contains a lot of colour)

I know I don't often use a lot of colour so pushed myself out of my comfort zone.

The products I used are the following:

Aall and Create Tracy Evans stamp

The background is an old (I think) Hero Arts zig zag stamp

Wow! white embossing powder

Distress Ink

Butterflies and sequins from my stash.

I loved painting the large flower using the distress inks too.  It has been a long time since I relaxed and coloured in this way.

Thank you for joining me again.  I hope that I have inspired you to join in with the challenge over on the blog.

Have a great March,

Miriam

Country View Crafts Challenges - Mother's Day

Happy March to you all.  And the start of Spring (hopefully).

Here is my first make for the Mother's Day challenge over at Country View Crafts:

To create this card I used the following:

All and Create Tracy Evans stamps

Stencil from my stash

PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic paint

White and navy card stock

This was a proper mindfulness project - making the masterboard background really helped me lose myself in my crafting.

Thank you for joining me today.  Pop over to the Challenge blog to see the inspiration from the rest of the team.  And while you are there, why not make a project and enter the challenge.  Don't forget, that there is a voucher up for grabs for one lucky entrant.

Happy Crafting!
