Sainsbury's Winterstoke Road Craft Club

Well, the first class is over and the time just flew by!!!  I had 7 ladies tonight - none of whom had crafted before.  To welcome them to the club I created tags which I gave out last week:

We were creating 3 stamped projects tonight, 2 of which were inspired by a Stampin' Up workshop that I attended a few years ago.
The tag was created using a rectangle of real red card with the top cut and punched to create a tag shape.  A balloon was stamped onto a rectangle of white card and coloured in using Stampin' Write markers.  This was then adhered to the tag and finished with ribbon.  A nice and simple way to start the class!

Red card was folded to create a card blank.  A streamer was stamped in red onto the background.  A cupcake and sentiment was stamped onto white card and coloured in before adhering to the card blank.  The ribbon was then attached to the bottom to finish.

This project got the most 'ooohs' when I showed the group how to emboss.  A swirl was stamped into the corner of patterned card using Versamark and then embossed in cold.  Flowers were stamped, embossed and coloured on Vanilla card and edged with versamark and embossed.  This was mounted onto gold glitter card and all adhered to the card blank.  The project was finished with random butterflies that had been die-cut.

As you can see the ladies got stuck into their projects.  Here are their final creations:

Chris
Enza
Ruth
Tracey
Jennie
Josie
As you can see they all did very well.  Looking forward to the next class!!

  3. Looks like everyone had a lot of fun. Great idea to start off with something simple so they all get that sense of accomplishment and "I can do this!"
