Country View Challenges - Flower Power

May has come around soooo quickly.  The challenge theme for this month is flower power - who doesn't love flowers, right?

Here is the card that I created for the challenge...

The background was created using a stencil and Modelling Paste.  A really important tip here is to make sure you thoroughly clean your stencil after use or at least put it straight into water - that way the modelling paste will not dry onto the stencil. Once the modelling paste had dried I coloured the background using Broken China  and Shabby Shutters distress inks.  I used a few torn strips of music paper to add another layer and texture.

The amazing image from Lin Brown for Paper Artsy was stamped onto Smoothy card stock and coloured using Polychromo pencils.  It was then cut around and mounted onto the card.

I drew a scribbly line around the card.

To finish I coloured Seam Binding  using distress inks.  I crumpled the ribbon while it was still wet.  When dry, I tied the ribbon around the card.

So - there it is!

Do pop over to the Country View Crafts Challenge blog and see the designs from the other design team members - they are all totally amazing!.... and make sure you join in with the challenge to be in with a chance of winning a voucher to spend at Country View Crafts.

Thanks for looking.
