Today is my Mum's Birthday.
Here is the card that I made for her:
I started by covering a card blank using some gorgeous vintage floral Prima paper and inked around the edges using walnut stain ink.
I die cut 3 Window Frame shapes, one in Prima paper and one in cream card stock. I stamped the vintage lady image (Studio 490) onto the cream card stock and coloured her using distress markers and inked around the edge. As soon as I saw these Wendy Vecchi stamps I knew that I had to get them and that the image reminded me of my wonderful mum.
I attached the image and shape to the card and put sprays of roses around them which were given to me by the fabulous Caz Newton. Thank you Caz - they are amazing!!
I finished by using a few pearls on the opposite edges.
Hope you have a fabulous day mum - Happy Birthday - Love you loads xxxx

Vintage Doily Fun!!
I have been taking the opportunity while resting to catch up on some well needed craft time.
Here is a card that I made that has a vintage feel to it:
For this card I started by colouring the background using Pink Pirouette Ink and a blending tool. I then stamped my favourite 'En Francais' background stamp using Chocolate Chip ink. and edged around the card using the same colour.
I stamped a crackle stamp onto a paper doily using Antique Linen Ink. The Mannequin was stamped using Coffee archival ink to give a really clear image.
A greeting was stamped and cut out using the matching Ticket punch and attached to the doily using a Tim Holtz pin. A Tando Creative key was inked and attached to the bottom of the ticket.
Scraps of ribbon and washi tape from my stash were layered onto the card and then finished with a crochet flower.
Hope you like it!

Rebel Stampers ATC Swap
It's that time again! Thankfully I made these before Christmas.
Here is the atc that I made using the Craft Stamper December 2012 Stamp:
I covered an atc in Paper Artsy paper and inked around the edges using walnut stain distress ink.
I stamped the snowflake using Versamark ink and embossed it in silver.
I coloured 4 Tando Creative snowflakes in Paper Artsy Fresco Finish paint and inked around the edges. I then sprinkled on distress glitter and allowed them to dry before attaching them to the atc.
The second theme for the month was 'Steampunk'. Here is my creation:
I covered an atc using some background paper from my stash.
I then took a Prima mask and some Ferro and created the texture that you can see in the top right corner. The Ferro made it look very metallic and grungy!
I used my favourite Hampton Arts stamp and stamped the image onto shrink plastic and then used my heat gun to shrink it to size. Once shrunk I put an acrylic block over it to flatten it out. This was then adhered to the atc.
To finish, I tied paper string through a word bank and attached it to the bottom of my atc and attached cogs and game spinners to 'finish' my steam punk look.
Hope you like them. Thanks for looking....

Things Can Only Get Better!!
What a start to 2013. I told you all last week that I have been unwell then I ended up in hospital on my birthday on Friday... Few days later and I am finally home and have promised that I would get complete rest!!
I've been too tired to craft and so thought I would show you a card that I made for a special little girl, called Kaylin, that celebrated her 3rd birthday on Boxing Day.
To create the card I used the cute Lolli Pop stamp from Stampotique. I coloured this in using markers. To create the background I used different coloured inks on a large distressed dots background stamp and stamped directly onto the card.
I added ribbon and a stamped greeting to finish.
Hopefully Kaylin loved it!!

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2013: January
Happy New Year - hope you have enjoyed the festivities. Unfortunately I spent New Years Eve in hospital and am not well at the moment.
I thought I would cheer myself up by starting on the new tag challenge for 2013. I only managed half the year last year so am hoping to make it through the whole year this time.
You can see the details on Tim's blog Here.
I chose to make the tag into a card so that I can use them throughout the year (that's my plan anyway!!).
Here are a few close ups (sorry about the poor pics):
I really enjoyed creating this card. I kept everything the same as how Tim had created his tag, apart from a minor few changes here and there.
