Score Board Trigger Happy

I CASEd a project given as part of a make and take recently and couldn't wait to give it a twist in my own way!

The first project is a note book. I scored grey card both horizontally and vertically to give it an embossed look.

Next I stamped various images in different colour onto white card stock.

I then set about creating a flower and banners.

To finish the front cover I then embellished it using vintage facet buttons.

I glued this to a notepad and left it to dry.

I used the same method to create a card to celebrate a friend's promotion at work.

Once I started using the scoreboard I couldn't stop!

Walking In A Winter Wonderland

Not long now... I'm starting to feel a little Christmasy!

I wanted to share another card with you today:

I started by randomly stamping snowflakes to the right hand side of a card.

I added patterned paper to the left hand side.

I stamped the snowflakes in different colours and sizes and die cut them.

II attached these to the card using foam pads and added a metal snowflake embellishment to the centre of the smallest snowflake.

To finish I stamped a greeting in black Archival ink.

Nice and easy... for when you are creating in bulk!!

Spinning Baubles

I wanted to share more Christmas cards that I have made, this time using the fabulous Christmas Ornament baubles from Stampin' Up.

I made different versions of this card - but all based around the pretty little bauble that reminds me of a vintage spinning ball!

To start I embossed red and green card using a candy stripe embossing folder.

I added this to the top half of the card and added patterned papers to the bottom half.

I added washi tape to the middle as an alternative to ribbon.

The baubles to stamped and punched out then added to the cards.

Ribbon was added to make the baubles look like they are hanging.

A greeting was stamped and gems added to finish.

I loved using these baubles and I hope you like them too!

Thanks for looking.

Happy Birthday Rebel Stampers

A couple of weeks ago the Rebel Stampers turned 4.  To celebrate we decided to create a book swap.  The idea was that we would and create a book with 4 pages and swap with another member of the Rebel Stampers.

Here is the book that I created...I decided to create a theme of the 4 seasons.

This is the cover:

I covered a chipboard cover with papers from Stampin' Up.

I embellished using a die cut leaf.

The banner is a chalkboard banner.  I inked the quote using a chalkboard marker and stamped onto the banner.

Page 1: Spring

Page 2: Summer

Page 3: Autumn

Page 4: Winter

All of the pages began with a basic wrinkle free distress technique using Tim Holtz Distress Paints (love, love, love those paints!!).

Once all of the pages were complete they were bound into a book.

I hope the recipient liked it!

Happy Anniversary Wishes

I thought I would share a card that I made for a dear friend, Sophie who has just celebrated her 10th wedding anniversary.

Unfortunately the photos don't show the tone on tone stamping very well!
I started by die cutting a flippits card using pink card.

Next I die cut a scallop circle in grey, a heart in red and a stamped heart in pink.

I randomly stamped a patterned heart over the background of the card.

Following this I arranged the shapes in the flip area on the card.
I also decorated the back of the flippit shape.

To finish I stamped a greeting onto grey card and die cut it.

I hope you like my creation....

Thanks for looking.

Rebel Stampers ATC Swap

How does the month go so quickly?!

It is that time of month again.... time for the atc swap over at Rebel Stampers.  Here are my creations:

The first is based on the free heart stamp in the October edition of Craft Stamper

I started by colouring an ATC using distress ink.

I added strips of washi tape to 2 corners.

I stamped the main image in black Archival ink and cut them out.  I coloured the hearts using Barn Door distress ink then adhered them to the atc.

To finish I added mini buttons.

The theme of the second atc was 'leaves'

Here, I coloured the atc using Distress Inks.

I stamped a leaf branch stamp using peeled paint distress ink.

Following this I die cut lots of little leaves from a Tim Holtz strip die.  I added these to 2 corners.

To finish I added buttons to finish.

Quick and easy....

Wedding Bliss

Today I thought I would share the card that I created for Ella and Eugene's wedding.

The main image was the image that I used on Ella's invites  I stamped it onto a deco label and coloured it. in.

For the background on the card I stamped a swirl from a set of Paper Artsy Hot Picks using Melon Mambo ink.

I then layered lace and ribbon onto the card and placed an inked heart doily over it.

The main image was then attached to the doily.

I stamped the sentiment in black archival ink to make it stand out,

To finish I embellished the card with some pink flowers and pearls.

Perfect for a special day!

Celebrating A New Beginning

Today a colleague of mine is getting married.

As a gift I offered to make her wedding invites.  Ella wanted something simple and elegant.  Here is the card that I designed

I bought some gorgeous pearlised card from Inspire me papers.

I stamped the Penny Black bride image in Archival ink.  Once dry I coloured the bride's face, neck and shoulders, bouquet and head dress.

The wording was stamped in Silver

Very simple but elegant!

I also surprised Ella by making matching napkin ties and a guest book which I created from a Prima scrapbook.

Unfortunately you cannot see the wording clearly but it has Ella and Eugene's names on it, along with the image used for the invites.  The album was painted using Paper Artsy Fresco Finish paints to start.

I am sure Ella will look totally gorgeous and I cannot wait to celebrate with the both.

Thanks for looking.

Rebel Stampers ATC Swap

If someone can tell me where this month has gone I would appreciate it!!  I can't believe that we are over half way through October!!
Anyway, here are my swaps for the September challenge:

The first is based on the theme of 'Opposites'.

I found this difficult to start!  Then once I set my mind to it the ideas just flowed!

I began by choosing black and white as my colour theme.

I then used a positive and negative chicken wire stencil in each corner of the atc.  I then stamped the lovely Elizabeth and Mr Darcy images and cut around them.

I used a bird stamp in the top left corner then finished off by using contrasting buttons.

The next ATC is based on the Craftstamper free stamp for September which was the Elizabeth stamp from Indigo Blu:

Here, I covered an atc with dictionary paper using the word 'pride'.

I added some crochet ribbon to the top.

I stamped Elizabeth onto card and coloured and inked around the edges.

I stamped the quote (love this quote) on distressed it to give it an aged effect.

To finish I added an embossed heart button.

Hope you like my creations......

Happy Birthday Wishes

Today it is Dan's birthday...  We normally go away for it but we were away last week and will be going away again soon!

Here is the card that I made for him.... it is probably a good job we didn't go away because it was quite heavy!!

I started off by covering a card blank with some Tim Holtz paper.

I then added pieces of metal card that I had embossed with a tyre track folder and some torn and distressed dictionary paper.

I coloured some grey board using Fresco Finish paints in various colours until I was happy with it.  I then stamped some background images in complimentary colours of paint.

The main image was stamped in black Archival ink and then heat set.  I then set about colouring various elements with Fresco Finish paints until I was happy with it.  After drying it with a heat gun I edged the board in black paint and highlighted parts using a white gel pen.

I mounted this to the background card then embellished with a word band and gears.

Thankfully Dan loved the card...and the work that I put into it.
