I thought I would use these colours to create a Valentine card. Here's what I did....
I decided to use Prawn and Coral Fresco Finish paints for my project.
I put blobs of these colours onto my craft sheet and used my brayer to cover a sheet of tissue paper. I wasn't bothered about it being too blended and wanted some areas to be darker and bolder than the others. This was the result.
Coral is an orangey-pink and so these colours worked really well together.
Next, I wanted to add some stamping to the background of the tissue paper. For this I used the fabulous feather in the Tracy Scott stamp set - this is a really good sized stamp and the detail is beautiful.
I stamped this in Archival ink.
I then added some Tea Rose stamping. This is another beautiful orangey pink.
For some reason I then forgot to take more photos!
I adhered the background to a card blank and cut it to size.
I used a TCW stencil and sponged Little Black Dress paint through it. Once this was dry I added detail using a white gel pen.
I stamped different hearts from Tracy Scott onto the background and then separately onto white card. I coloured the hearts using Prawn and a dash of London Bus Fresco Finish paints.
Once dry, these were then cut and added to the card with foam dots.
I added a scribbled border around the edges.
This is my finished card....
I had great fun making this and am entering it into the Paper Artsy challenge. And, as a bonus, I have a Valentine card ready for the big day!
Thanks for looking......

ReplyDeleteLove this! 💜
ReplyDeleteWow Miriam this is brilliant, not least that I know you weren't 100% fit when you made it. I love how the gorgeous feather works so well as a background stamp instead of a focal image. Really gorgeou!
