Today I am sharing an ATC that I have created.
This project started off as an embossed sheet of card which I then painted in Little Black Dress Paper Artsy Fresco Finish paint.
I then set about creating a 'rusty' background in the same way that I did for my project earlier in the month.
I love the effect that you can create with these paints!
Once I was 'happy' I added a little bit of treasure gold to make some of the rust stand out.
I then cut a section of this to create my ATC background and set it aside.
My next step was to create more texture for the ATC. For this I used Paper Artsy Sara Naumann ESN02 stamp set. This is one of my favourite sets and gets used alot!
I started to stamp using black Archival ink onto tissue paper, then once heat set, tore around the stamped images as closely to them as possible. I also created a Paper Artsy infusion background and then stamped text onto the background.
Scraps of the tissue paper were adhered to the ATC background using Matte Medium.
Next, I gathered embellishments together. I brought another element of rust in my choosing some ready-made rusted embellishments.
The butterfly and rusty screw head were adhered using Cosmic Shimmer glue.
To finish I added words from the Tim Holtz Clipping Stickers. These were actually one sticker which I cut in half and then edged in Walnut stain distress ink.
And finally - a closer look at some of the layers on the ATC.
I had so much fun creating this ATC. And even better is the fact that I have embossed background and tissue papers left over to use in another project!
I really hope that I have inspired you to take part in the monthly challenge. Don't forget to share your creation on the CVC challenges in blog to be in with a chance of winning a gift voucher.
